Welcome to Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar
☆ Come for the view, stay for the food!!! ☆
The Boathouse features a perfect environment and a well rounded menu with interesting fresh ideas from the raw bar, the oyster pots and the wood fired rotisserie. Enjoy the view on the spectacular 2000 square foot deck with water-misters to escape the summer heat, and heaters for wintertime comfort. The "foods from the Gulf" menu includes made to order Guacamole, El Scorcho Seafood Stew, Po-Boy sandwiches made with huge Shrimp, Rotisserie Chicken, and “you don’t have to go to Texas” Brisket. The locals know the best way to wash it all down is with a Lawton Rita. A simple combination of premium Blanco Tequila, triple sec and a squeeze of lime. Beer aficionados also clamor for the artful beer cooling system, delivering golden brews at a perfect 32 degrees.
"Buy a great product. Try not to screw it up. Hire great people and treat them the best you can so they don't leave. You can't have employee turnover and have a good restaurant. It's impossible."
For many Americans, the classic margarita is the elixir of life. And for others, the delicacy of choice is savory guacamole bursting with the creamy richness of avocados. Together, margaritas and guacamole are Nirvana to some food and drink enthusiasts.
Lawton Haygood and the “Tuff Grill”

Before he introduced the signature selections at Canyon Grill and the Boathouse, Haygood developed a first-of-its-kind wood-burning grill in the late 1970s when he served seafood at his restaurant, Turtle Cove, in Dallas.
